Accreditation
The purpose of accreditation for the 2026 European Universities Games is to clearly identify all participants and their respective roles, ensuring they have the necessary access to carry out their duties during the event. The accreditation procedure is essential in operational tools for managing the large number of people involved in the event and in ensuring organised, safe and controlled movement between the various areas.
The accreditation system allows only qualified and authorised persons to take part in the Games, assigning each category a specific level of access to the areas relevant to their official duties. At the same time, it protects restricted areas by preventing unauthorised persons from entering.
Accreditation begins two days before each competition and participants cannot be accredited after the GTM. Furthermore, participants are required to show their accreditation badge to the referee and/or the relevant competition official.
CC (CONTROL COMMISSION)
The CC is responsible for the accreditation of the EUG participants. They control the authenticity of the entries, the academic status of the competitors, the payment of EUSA entry fee and if necessary, collect it. The CC authorizes participation in the EUG by verifying accreditation cards. If CC refuses to authorize participation, the HoD may challenge this decision to the SCAC.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Participants may access designated areas of the competition and non-competition venues and may use eligible services only with the accreditation card.
- An accreditation card will be issued to each participant. This is a numbered card containing personal details and a photograph.
- Every participant in the EUG 2026 Salerno is required to present their Accreditation Card whenever requested by the organiser or security staff.
- It is forbidden to transfer the Accreditation Card to third parties. If the Accreditation Card is lost, the participant will be charged €50 for the issue of a new card.
- A request for a new Accreditation Card can be made at the Accreditation Centre.
LATE ACCREDITATION
An on-call support service will be available for participants arriving outside the designated accreditation hours. Formal accreditation will be completed when the office next opens. However, participants who have already arrived will still be able to access meals, as they will have registered independently through the dedicated app.
