Salerno and its province, with around 1 million inhabitants, enjoy a privileged geographical position. Overlooking the sea, the city acts as a strategic bridge between Central, Northern and Southern Italy. Thanks to its excellent infrastructure, Salerno is one of the main hubs of the national high-speed rail plan.

Welcome Points
The Organising Committee will set up Info-Desks for arrivals and departures dedicated to all participants of the EUSA Games 2026 at:
- For those travelling by plane: Naples Capodichino Airport (NAP).
- For those travelling by train: Salerno Railway Station.
- For those travelling by bus: Salerno Bus Station (Railway Station).
Shuttle Service: The Committee will provide shuttle buses for all participants upon arrival, subject to availability, to ensure a quick transfer to the Village, hotels, and competition venues.
Arriving by Plane
Naples International Airport is only 54 km from Salerno. It is an airport of primary importance (11 million passengers in 2019) that connects 15 domestic and 91 international destinations, served by 42 scheduled airlines. It can be reached from almost all of Europe in about 3 to 4 hours of flight.
Connections from the Airport:
SITA Sud (Line 5003): Direct line of the SITA Sud transport company connecting the airport to the Salerno Via Vinciprova bus terminal (a 7-minute walk to Piazza della Concordia). Scheduled departure: 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday only). Tickets must be purchased before boarding at airport tobacco shops (Tabaccheria) or via the UnicoCampania app.
- SITA bus to the campus: The Line 5003 features a morning stop at the Fisciano University Campus. Scheduled departure serving the campus: 8:45 AM.
- Alibus: Direct line of the Azienda Napoletana Mobilità connecting the airport to the Piazza Garibaldi Railway Station in Naples. Average frequency: every 20 minutes (weekdays, Saturdays and public holidays). Tickets can be purchased on board. Trenitalia and Italo trains connect Naples to Salerno all day long.
- SITA Sud (Line 5002): Regional line of the SITA Sud transport company connecting central Naples to the Fisciano University Campus. Scheduled departures from the downtown Naples terminal (Varco Immacolatella): 9:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM.
Arriving by Car
Salerno is located at the intersection of the A1, A2 and A3 motorway networks. Reaching the competition venues in Salerno and Fisciano is extremely simple:
- From Naples: Motorway A3 (Naples-Salerno-Reggio Calabria): continue south, take the Salerno-Avellino link road towards Avellino and exit at “Fisciano Università”. At the roundabout, turn right and go straight on.
- Motorway A16 (Naples-Bari): from the Napoli Est toll booth, join the A30 (Caserta-Salerno) towards Salerno, then take the Avellino slip road. Shortly after entering the Salerno-Avellino link road, take the Fisciano-Mercato San Severino exit; at the end of the exit, turn right.
- From the East (Bari): Motorway A16 (Bari-Naples); exit at Avellino Est and take the Avellino-Salerno link road; exit at Fisciano-Mercato San Severino; at the end of the exit, turn right.
- From the South (Reggio Calabria): Motorway A2 (Salerno-Reggio Calabria); before Salerno, take the junction for the A1 and A16 motorways towards Avellino, exit at “Fisciano Università”, at the roundabout turn right and continue right.

How to reach the Campus
The Campus is located at Via Giovanni Paolo II, 132, 84084 Fisciano, SA.
- If you are in Salerno at the Railway Station (Piazza Vittorio Veneto), take the Busitalia buses no. 7, 17 or 27 (running every 20 minutes).
- If you are in Naples at Via Ferraris (INPS area), 300 metres from Piazza Garibaldi (Central Station), take the SITA Sud bus no. 5002 (running on fixed schedules matched to university hours). You can find all the bus times in the PDF at the link.

Local transportation
EUG inter-village services
The EUG Inter-Village shuttle buses are a free dedicated service for EUG participants, providing transportation between the accommodation areas, the canteen, and the main transportation hub.
Maps and detailed timetables will be available at the Accreditation Centre and at all information desks.
Participants must wear their accreditation badge to access the service.
Free EUG dedicated services to/from the city of Salerno
A special complimentary bus service, the “EUG Salerno-Fisciano link“, will be available exclusively for EUG participants.
The service connects the UNISA Bus Terminal directly with Salerno city centre and operates daily from 10:00 to 23:59.
The inter-village shuttle buses run every 20 minutes, while the Fisciano-Salerno shuttles run every 30 minutes.
Participants must wear their accreditation badge to access the service.
INTER-CAMPUS & VILLAGE SHUTTLES
For the sports taking place within the Baronissi Campus and Fisciano Campus areas, a dedicated inter-village shuttle bus service will connect both campuses and all surrounding accommodation sites.
Shuttles will run frequently, with a maximum waiting time of 20 minutes.
This service will connect accommodation areas with the main UNISA Fisciano Campus transportation hub, providing easy access to:
The University Canteen
The General Technical Meeting (GTM) site
Evening and nighttime events hosted on campus
Various competition and training venues located across the Fisciano and Baronissi campuses
Detailed shuttle timetables and route maps will be available at the Accreditation Centre and at all official information points.
The EUG Lines
The network consists of four Inter-Village shuttles and one dedicated Inter-Campus shuttle:
Line EUG 1: Connects the UNISA Bus Terminal [Fisciano] to the local residences and competition venues across Fisciano.
Line EUG 2: Connects the UNISA Bus Terminal [Fisciano] to the official accommodations located in Mercato San Severino.
Line EUG 3: Runs between the UNISA Bus Terminal [Fisciano], the Baronissi Campus, and the local Baronissi residence.
Line EUG 4: Runs between the UNISA Bus Terminal [Fisciano] and the official accommodation located in Lancusi “Palazzo Barra”.
Line EUG Campus Express: An additional, high-frequency shuttle operating directly between the UNISA Bus Terminal [Fisciano] and the Baronissi Campus during active competition days.
